Police arrested two teenagers after one reportedly stole cash from a tip jar at an Indiana ice cream shop—after supplying names to the ice cream parlor, provided on job application forms.
Seems no one filled the boys in as to the standard protocol of employee theft—get the job first, before considering stealing from the (potential) place of employment.
The teenage boys, 15 and 16 years old, had filled out applications at Pat's Ice Cream Parlor in downtown Valparaiso—while the job applications were being filed, the clerk heard falling change--witnessing one of the two boys in the act of grabbing bills from the tip jar.
The boys fled the ice cream parlor however police didn’t have too hard of a time locating them—the teenagers were sure to get their names on file before the reported theft.
The total take: $2
