Happened:
In My Life

Schick Quattro Razors, the piece of hand-held (for lack of a better word) machinery that will tear your flesh to pieces. Forget nicks, scratches, or tiny cuts. I had all those last week and after owning the Schick for only a week by that point. My most recent bout with the Quattro and its supposedly smooth blades has resulted in a 3-inch slash and burn. In The News

It's one of those things that makes hearts drop: Donor organs don't come easy but one was pitched after a 280 mile trip to the hospital--via three vehicles. It wasn't air or ground transport responsible for dropping the organ slated for transplant. Two left feet were apparently involved, when a medic literally tripped to chuck a donor's heart streetside on pavement. Read more

Faster Than a Moving Scalpel Doctors Say Maggot Therapy Heals Human Wounds

December 31, 2011 12:01am by editor

Happened:
In The News

Maggots devour lots of stuff but that stuff is usually carcasses and decaying life--not humans trying to stay alive. What most consider some of the foulest creatures on earth are ironically proving to rank among the cleanest. Or at least the cleaners. Doctors say the gross-looking crawlers may clean wounds faster than a scalpel in "maggot therapy". Read more

Happened:
In The News

You’d think organs from those in good health would be readily accepted from those needing them to live. But the CDC wants more than one sex partner per year to equal “elevated risk”. It may sound funny—and certainly sound stupid—but more people who would’ve been able to receive organs to live may die.
