Police in New York said two Canadian men went to a church festival but wound up in the western woods drunk--naked and covered in mud. Troopers first found one man--a 22-year-old from Hamilton, Ontario (Canada) seated on a roadside in the town of Lewiston, outside Niagara Falls, around 5:45 a.m. Western New York law enforcement said the 22-year-old was caked in mud. Following questioning, state troopers discovered a second man: a 23-year-old, also from Hamilton (Canada) and also covered in mud, like the first—but additionally passed out, drunk, in a nearby ditch. Troopers say the men had attended the church event for St. John de LaSalle Carnival—deciding after that they’d make it a "Woodstock event"--by dancing naked in the woods. Police said both men were highly intoxicated, but didn’t list anything else—so apparently it wasn’t totally a “Woodstock event”. Neither man was charged with any crime—making it a good thing (for their criminal records at least) that they weren’t in a metropolitan area.
