Arsonist Sets Fire in Mercedes then Posts Blaze on Facebook

Commit a crime, post it on Facebook—then ensure that Facebook account has identifying personal information, to additionally ensure that police may locate you.

A 36-year-old man has been arrested, now facing Felony Arson charges for allegedly setting a 1982 Mercedes-Benz on fire. The alleged arsonist then posted action photos of the burning vehicle where he’d set the fire—posting the incriminating pics on Facebook.

Fortunately for police, the alleged arsonist helped the department out by using an identifying Facebook account and photos of the crime scene—since it took police weeks, after discovering the vehicle, .

The 36-year-old apparently told police officers that he saw the Mercedes car with a "small campfire" in the back seat—police apparently didn’t believe his story, since few people typically describe an interior vehicle fire including the descriptive of “campfire”.

Motive is still unknown—though stupidity is abundantly clear.
