It's not a dog-eat-dog world: It's a dog-save-dog world. A miraculous save that occurred on earth may as well have dropped from the heavens above. A dog running between cars on a freeway is suddenly hit by oncoming traffic in Santiago, Chile--a moving truck leaving the canine severely wounded, still on the ground. A second dog happens to see the badly-injured and motionless dog from further down the freeway, when it rushes to the animal's aid to drag the injured comrade like a wounded war soldier.

Video footage of a busy highway, lanes filled with moving cars and trucks, shows the second dog skirting vehicles and even running parallel with the center divider, in order to reach the motionless and severely hurt animal. Once reaching the motionless dog still lying in the middle of busy lanes of traffic, the healthy dog chooses not to grab the wounded canine with teeth, but instead pauses and chooses to use its paws in the same manner a human would use hands and arms. The rescuing dog gently encircles the neck of the badly-injured canine, deciding on a plan of slowly dragging the hurt canine to safety -- much like a human would move an injured comrade or wounded soldier.

Inch by inch, the dog as rescuer successfully saves the dog that had been hit by a moving truck by physically dragging and guiding the injured dog through oncoming traffic traveling at high speeds. Both animals finally reached the guardrail in safety. The emergency occurred in the midst of heavy and moving rush-hour traffic. Humans, construction workers who were working on the side of the freeway, retrieved both dogs for medical treatment. Unbelievably, both dogs are alive and well.
