Dating services are popular stuff but one app in particular—what some are dubbing a prostitution-friendly app—has heads turning as Apple moves Sugar Sugar into its store for a June 1 debut.

The Sugar Sugar app has found its way into a spot in Apple’s App Store, and the accusation's that there’s a little more than sugar involved. The dating site puts a new spin on dating, with a focus on hooking up sugar daddies with potential fems counterparts. It’s said the service helps prostitutes and clients make a crucial connection through GPS and communication services offered.

While Apple's App Store is known for stringent guidelines and and an approval process for every app that comes its way, the Sugar Sugar app is said to be available for download in just weeks – on June 1, 2011. The app will be available for iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad, Android and Blackberry electronic devices.

How Sugar Sugar works is pretty straightforward: the app uses GPS, now found in all current cellular or mobile devices, to locate those – physically located in a similar vicinity – who are looking for a “mutually beneficial” experience. A check-in via the device then finds profiles of members close by and allows a trade of messages and photos in addition.

Apple’s own guidelines seem to argue against the idea of the dating service’s app being accepted, but then it’s a weird world – and Apple apparently has less of an issue than Congress, which somehow just managed to shut down DUI/DWI and speed traps apps availability.
