Man in Bunny Rabbit Costume One Ups Donny Darko and Scares Idaho Kids

Cops in Idaho Falls have kindly requested a man stop wearing a bunny suit in public. It may be legal but it's kind of been freaking out the kids. It could all lead to nightmares of a large, haunting rabbit that dances--or at least wears a tutu. And carries a 'gun'. This guy one-ups the "Donny Darko" movie. The Idaho man apparently likes to play 'rabbit' and hide behind trees while acting like he's 'shooting'--small children.

34-year-old William Falkingham lives in a city of just 54,000. And he likes to wear a tutu. That could be fine all alone -- but it's not going over so well when coupled with a bunny costume.

Some kids have an inexplicable fear of clowns. Other kids have a fear of adult-sized, fuzzy creatures with ears. This fear from small children may be less related to the fuzzy factor than the creepy one.

All might've been just fine, had the guy been working kids' parties. But, after a woman says she saw the guy -- dressed in a full rabbit costume and peeking at her young son from a tree -- it didn't go over so well with Idaho Falls police. The scenario went over a bit worse since it seems he was reportedly also pointing his finger like a gun while hiding behind that tree. It's not exactly the norm for behavior, in terms of people dressed in bunny rabbit costumes. If there is a norm. Other Idaho Falls residents apparently find the behavior a bit disturbing. Or maybe greatly disturbing. While a neighbor calls the young guy eccentric but harmless, dressing in costumes while scaring young children isn't providing that perception for others.

Fortunately for Falkingham, he seems to have at least one Idaho Falls neighbor that can (somehow) relate: "He's [William Falkingham's] got the bunny outfit, a cowboy suit and a ballerina dress but you don't see him except where he's tripping through his backyard," neighbor Deborah Colson explained to Reuters. "He's got a strange lifestyle at home but we all do weird things at home."

It's true: People do have their own oddities at home, but most don't involve small children. And it seems that 'bunny' has jumped out of the 'cage' on a few occasions, and encountered kids -- who may never forget the unique vision.

The Idaho man allegedly told police officers he "enjoys wearing the suit" -- but, apparently since cops have threatened the idea of a "public nuisance", the man-slash-rabbit may lay off from 'dress-up' in public.
