Pro football player, Buffalo Bills Wideout Steve Johnson, didn't praise God but instead blamed the Almighty -- for his own dropping of the ball. Johnson missed catching what was likely the game-changing, winning touchdown pass for the pro Buffalo Bills team during overtime game play.
Players from every sport have placed blame in a lot of places, but blaming God for a lost game ranks among the most unique. Most bizarre, however, is Steve Johnson's venue for voicing his blame -- apparently he believes God listens on Twitter, the football player tweeting:
"I PRAISE YOU 24/7!!!!!! AND THIS HOW YOU DO ME!!!!! YOU EXPECT ME TO LEARN FROM THIS??? HOW???!!! ILL NEVER FORGET THIS!! EVER!!! THX THO..."
Apparently spelling isn't Johnson's forte but God would probably get the gist -- however, in hindsight, Steve Johnson may hope God isn't among his "followers", to get that message.
It is a bit hard to "praise" in your sleep -- to make that 24/7 reference -- but that small piece of logic seems to have escaped the football player's attention. It's a harsh tweet, but maybe Johnson figures all is OK -- he did make sure to throw in that "thx" and all.
