After failing the New Hampshire state bar exam seven times between 1991 to 2007, a (hoping-to-be-attorney) applicant finally passes in 2008 -- but still can't sway the Committee on Character and Fitness. He argues he was "trained to practice law; I wasn’t trained to do anything else. And I have no desire to do anything else at this point."

For now the applicant remains "G.W." and finally passed the bar exam but it seems there are still some concerns about criminal charges and a "lack of candor," considered by the Committee on Character and Fitness -- and the impression doesn't seem to be exactly positive. The applicant's $140K grand in outstanding student loans may not have helped the situation. It could also be "G.W.'s" virtual lack of employment over 20 years' time that served as a largely contributing factor to him being denied a license to practice law as an attorney.

The applicant allegedly told the Committee that he hadn't enjoyed a prior bartender position that he felt was "beneath" him.

In terms of paying off student loans, the applicant had this to say, "if I owed a measly $30,000, that’s an amount of money that certainly could be paid off with a, you know, $10-an-hour job or something of that nature. But because there’s $120,000 worth of interest on that $30,000 principal, realistically, I need a good job in order to pay that off."

"And I was trained to practice law; I wasn’t trained to do anything else. And I have no desire to do anything else at this point."

Well, now it's all clear.
