The only thing more scary than finding out grape and apple juices contains a chunk of arsenic may be discovering the FDA isn't monitoring the drinks for that toxin or lead content. Pfizer Loses Lipitor Patent But Pays Millions to Cut Pharmacy Deals Blocking Generics

The pharmaceutical company is pretty much willing to pay people to keep out generics for as long as possible--and it's doing so in ways some consider underhanded by cutting deals with pharmacies that would literally block sale of alternate generics.

Walgreens Complaint Says Employee Fired Over Bag of Chips in Diabetic Attack

The diabetic know that low blood sugar can mean life or death. It all makes things bad for employer Walgreens--a former employee suing the company in a complaint that alleges the store fired her over a bag of chips. Josefina Hernandez says she opened the snack when an onset of diabetes symptoms came on, while she was working. And that ended her employment. Read more

Research Says Humans May Breathe 50 Percent Air Bacteria From Dog Feces

It may be the best reason yet to crack down on dog owners who leave poop behind: A new study says humans are breathing in the bacteria from dog waste. Air samples from two major cities find the most common bacteria in winter air is from feces, most likely from the biggest waste depositors -- dogs. Those bacteria levels with canine waste as a source could be up to 50%-percent. Read more
