A taxi cab driver is accused of locking a Texas tourist inside of a taxi cab, demanding a 10 percent tip on top of a $33 Airport fare, says law enforcement in New Orleans. Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office reports that 37-year-old taxi driver Sohail Kahn was booked for Extortion—and for False Imprisonment--of a 57-year-old female tourist who called 911 emergency services after reportedly arguing with the taxi cab driver for half of an hour. New Orleans Taxicab Regulation Bureau has yanked the cab driver’s permit--so look out, New York, here he comes.
