Preacher With No Permit Charges Gay Event with Assault Over Hug Kiss

A North Carolina preacher didn't turn the other cheek after hearing about a gay pride event he opposed. Waving a Holy Bible, he was kissed on the cheek by a 74-year-old female gay rights supporter -- then charged that woman with assault. Taylorsville police chose not to remove the protestor who had no permit or legal right to even be at the event. Read more

Bikini Swimsuit Fashion Hits 65th Birthday Named in Atomic Warfare

It's a birthday, one very special day for fans of summer. While it's made for women, it's biggest fan is probably men: The "bikini" turns 65 years old just one day after the Fourth of July--and it's name is derived from atomic warfare. Really.

Invented in 1946, the fashion swimsuit was dubbed "bikini" after Bikini Atoll in the Marshall Islands -- the site of atomic bomb testing. Read more

What does a man covered in feces look like? According to Boulder police, this man (less the human waste). It started when a woman at a yoga festival used a Porta-Potty and swore she saw something move in the "tank" when opening the lid. It ended with a feces-covered guy running through the Hanuman Yoga Festival in Colorado.

There's no escaping the irony that one of the most famous mobsters in U.S. history has been using no less than hollowed-out history books to hide weapons--in a home housing pictures of cats on the walls.
