The Feds and law enforcement are getting very lucky--capturing two "Most Wanted" criminals, in just one week, in Southern California. Weirdly, one of the most notorious drug kingpins has been captured just miles from where gangster James "Whitey" Bulger was arrested in Santa Monica.
Specializing in extensive cocaine and marijuana trafficking, alleged drug kingpin Keith Hasson has been taken of the most-wanted list after being found and arrested in San Fernando Valley. The 45-year-old leader of a drug distribution enterprise had been on that "list" since 2005, related to a warrant in Albuquerque, New Mexico and known for a criminal history including a bullet list of violence like attempted murder, robbery, and assault with a deadly weapon. He was taken from an apartment in the Valley, near the intersection of Shoup Avenue and Victory Boulevard in Winnetka, California -- less than 30 miles from the Southern California hideout of Whitey Bulger.
