Life's Good When LG Optimus T Gets Android Gingerbread Update

LG has announced that the Optimus T will begin Android Gingerbread 2.3 updates in December but I am not holding my breath since the phone has been out for a year awaiting a long overdue update. The LG Optimus T is a great little phone but the slowness from LG to get it up to date with the new Android 2.3 is a real buzzkill.
 
T Mobile is not the best at making sure their phones are updated nor have they done a good job answering their own support forums. In fact many T-Mobile support questions simply sit unanswered.
 
According to the LG Announcements for Singapore and the UK they are beginning to roll-out the updates by the end of December. Their official announcement is:

As such, we seek your understanding and a little more patience as we take all possible measures to deliver this upgrade to you in December. "
