I have a Samsung Galaxy S II. I use the Samsung Kies software to update the firmware and synch with Microsoft Outlook. I just updated to Kies_2.3.2.12054_19_1 from Kies_2.1.0.11112_41_7 .
I spent 4 hours trying to get it to work with Windows 7 Ultimate and Outlook 2007. Everything worked great before this update. The synching process would start and cancel out. I cannot tell you the number of times I re-installed it and shutdown my phone.
Samsung does not have much in the way of support on their site and their tech people seem to have no idea what could cause this. I finally decided to roll it back to Kies_2.1.0.11112_41_7.
Now everything works fine again. Kies did add phone files to outlook so ake a backup of your outlook pst in case. In my instance I had to delete all contacts and restore from an outlook backup then re-synch. I will not update Kiess until it seems they had it fixed.
This update was done so I could get the new Android ICS Ice Cream Sandwich update.
Samsung you really need to make sure you got the software working before you push updates that waste all of our time.
