A Florida man adds substantially to the definition of "momma's boy" -- as he wields an ax and forces his 60-year-old mother to stay in his bedroom in order to watch movies with him.
The Charlotte County, Florida, Sheriffs department says 22-year-old Robert Tuttle allegedly attacked his own mother with an ax . Police received a call early in the day, near 10 a.m., from Tuttle's mother, after escaping from her son's bedroom.
The man's mother says she'd been held against her will, holed up in her son's bedroom for hours. Some drinks were apparently involved, which led to subsequent hacks of house possessions. Her son then threatened a murder-suicide if his mom called law enforcement and didn't comply with his wishes -- which involved accompanying him to his room. In this situation, alcohol may have actually helped or even saved a life -- the mother was able to sidestep a swing of the ax. After being forced into her son's bedroom, to watch movies with him for hours, the ax remained in hand.
Sheriffs deputies discovered a cache of weaponry, including a sword and an expandable baton in addition to the ax. Law enforcement also found a baggie of marijuana in Tuttle's bedroom, which had obviously not been used to mellow his 'good nature'.
