A couple shopping at a South Carolina Walmart have found Jesus and he was in checkout, clearly listed on their receipt along with 11 items purchased. The couple wants to share Jesus Christ with the world. At least this one doesn't mold like the sandwich version.

For those who thought Jesus Christ was actually run down in a Massachusetts crosswalk last year, you're wrong. Jesus is definitely at a Walmart in South Carolina and there's receipt proof.
Jesus doesn't show up just willy nilly. Gentry Lee Sutherland and fiancée Jacob Simmons had recently been to a particularly relevant church service. Then the engaged pair stopped in at a local Walmart to pick up photos in mid-June 2011. Don't expect Jesus to appear in actual photographs. He's more mystical. The Walmart payment proof was left on Sutherland's kitchen table when the couple noticed a big change a couple of days later: Jesus Christ was appearing to them on the Walmart transaction history.
Seeing Jesus on a receipt is slightly less foul than one of his last sightings, where he turned up on a grilled cheese sandwich. But it seems there's something in the water in South Carolina. Linda Lowe, responsible for the last major sighting of an image of Jesus, is from the same state. Lowe is the woman who claims she saw an image of Jesus in a national lunch back in December 2008. Her boyfriend must be God: He prepared the sandwich for Lowe right prior to Christmas that year. Linda Lowe had plans to save that holy grilled cheese for posterity -- but that probably didn't work out so well. The South Carolina woman refused to eat the grilled cheese sandwich, saying the food representing Jesus served as a daily reminder of her Christian faith. No word on how many days that reminder lasted before molding.
Perhaps more interesting is that the couple contacted the South Carolina Walmart location about the receipt -- and it seems an employee told them heat is likely responsible for the discoloration. But they're not buying it. The engaged pair is calling it a blessing and they want to share Jesus Christ's blessing with the world. Others claim the Walmart record is more representative of Fidel Castro or Charles Manson. For those who claim the Walmart 'Jesus' looks like a murderer, just remember: "Jesus wouldn't like that".
