The preference for boys in China is one thing but when bodily fluids become part of a ritual, this is gross. Once a year (for centuries) eggs are soaked before cooked in urine collected from grade school boys bathroom. No one says how long the urine is sitting before collection but maybe it doesn't matter. Health properties? Read more

I shop at Ralph's market all the time. I have a Ralph's club card and every quarter they send back some reward check based on my purchases. This has never been more than about $8.00 but it felt like something. I decided to ask about their coupon since when I went to Von's I noticed that they doubled my coupons. Read more

Happened:
In My Life

I've had to set up a savings account twice to avoid monthly fee charges at US Bank (after being a customer for over 10 years) because of employee error with signature cards. After more than half a year of screw-ups and finally getting a Silver account in place, the bank assigned me a wrong home location at a totally different branch than my checking account that's been in existence for a decade. I'm really frustrated with Kerlan Jobe ortho and surgery center in Los Angeles, California. After two surgeries at the same facility (the second one after the surgeon said 'uh-oh' over lack of function that was supposed to be fixed), the company not only keeps sending wrong billing but forwarded that wrong bill to COLLECTIONS agencies. T-Mobile's unlimited data plan is showing to be very limited. The company advertises unlimited transfer but I didn't realize that only applies to cell customers staying below a minimum. Once customers hit a monthly allowance, the provider sends a text message stating my service would be throttled until the next billing cycle. Read more

Why I canceled my Netflix Blu-ray and Kept My Streaming Account

March 7, 2012 12:00am by venusrising

In My Life

I finally canceled my Netflix Blu-ray delivery yesterday. I have been a consistent customer for three years and have loved watching Blu-ray Disks in my high-end home theater setup. However, it just got to be crazy paying almost $27.00 (before taxes!) for 3 Blu-rays with streaming when often a new movie would have a wait and there is now a Redbox up the street. Read more

Nokia N900 No Longer Charges With Wall Charger But Charges With Kindle Fire Charger

March 6, 2012 4:36pm by wombat

Happened:
In My Life

My Nokia N900 no longer charges from the wall charger. For a phone that was priced at almost $1000 in the US when it was brought out this is crazy. There are posts on the Nokia site with no replies from Nokia which is not all that surprising considering the way they handled this phone. Read more

Bristol West insurance charges what seem illegal $25 fees for not processing a credit card

March 6, 2012 4:34pm by callitawrap

Happened:
In My Life

Bristol West / Farmers Insurance charged me a late fee for car insurance after the company claimed "insufficient funds" on a credit card that has no limit. The company is treating or charging a card request like a returned check or bank debit even though it's not being charged, and there's no way to dispute the wrong fees. Read more
