The police department definitely should have been notified. Had a report been filed, the school or officials probably would have had less of an easy time in taking its own course in crazy 'handling.' Cutting off an air passage is extremely dangerous and there was obviously witnesses the school should have been interviewing immediately including other kids on the bus and the bus driver's take on what happened. The lack of action by the bus driver or any adult could be what scared the school into trying to act offensively with craziness. Those types of allegations including sexual conduct should never be thrown out lightly, sticking with a child for life. Only law enforcement, in an actual legal charge, should ever be able to use those kinds of terms in description. I certainly hope that this Mom of the boy being charged with such a ludicris crime, headed right over to the police dept. and filed a report against this punk bully kid, he should be charged with attemped murder, last time i checked if you are trying to choke someone you are trying to cut off their oxygen supply ie stop breathing ie murder! How stupid can these school officials be? These are the same morons that are shocked and distraught when people choose to home school or send their children to private school! Maybe if they focused on teaching education instead of trying to indoctrinate them.

Did you ever get the parts for your Gaggia color? If so what did you end up doing. The Grivory I have that was attached to tube seems to be working fine still. However not too happy that the top chrome plate keeps popping up due to the heat.
Moral of the story is, don't mess with some nut job that has road rage.

The name Greg Blair, the Los Angeles court's senior administrator for traffic operations, seems important. Blair has issued statement to the media that the court may seek payments via collection agencies -- but that failures to pay those red light/camera ticket citations will not show up on personal credit reports AND that the policy applies to red light tickets received throughout Los Angeles County (not just L.A. city). Greg Blair in traffic operations has also been noted as saying the exception is when a recipient of a camera ticket goes to court and can therefore be ordered by a judge to pay a fine -- in those instances, drivers can be pursued for non-payment like any other moving violation offender. "In those cases [where drivers receiving camera/red light tickets choose to appear in court], drivers could face stiff penalties and suspended licenses, among other things," according to Greg Blair.
While obviously none of this content is intended in any way as legal advice - here is some listed info which may prove very helpful: People receiving red light camera tickets in Beverly Hills have made statements that a phone call to Beverly Hills yields a claim that B.H. is not part of Los Angeles County. That doesn't appear to be the case. The city, like others still operating cameras for red light tickets will obviously be interested in collecting on fines wherever able. According to Wikipedia, Beverly Hills is a city in Los Angeles County. Los Angeles city has discontinued its photo lights altogether, and is yanking them out -- and that is a separate issue than tickets not being enforceable in the county itself. Other cities in Los Angeles county are continuing to operate camera lights (including Beverly Hills, which has announced it plans to increase cameras in the future). However, traffic operations has announced that tickets in the county are unenforceable.
Greg Blair oversees Traffic Operations for Los Angeles county in over 27 courthouses and here are some telephone numbers that may prove helpful if you're courteous and able to get someone live/directly on the phone. Though he oversees 27 courts, Greg Blair's office has been listed at the METROPOLITAN court.

People have said that ignoring a ticket received in L.A. county will not be referred to DMV but the ticket may be referred to either an internal or external collection agency -- that, if a collection agency does contact you, to request a debt verification request, which makes a lack of signature on the ticket come into play. Technically, because an officer did not have you sign the ticket, you have not agreed to pay the traffic citation, which should make it impossible to prove/provide a debt verification. According to reports, L.A. county cities have been successful in getting people to pay, simply by sending out a 'collection' letter apparently meant to frighten people into paying citations.
Sooo.... If I just got a red light camera ticket in the city of Beverly Hills, is this fine also "voluntary" since the county says so, or does the city require me to pay. Do all of the rules of the County Court apply? As in no DMV notification, etc?

When I got the old parts from Partsguru.com it cost me $30 because the girl sent the nipple attached to the tube (The place is like a pick-your-part for Espresso Machines) I said I only needed the grivory and she said she would suggest the grivory attached to the tube as her tech said it could be broken when inserted into the hose. It is a pretty tight fit so I used the one attached and had the new part from Importika in a drawer. The little clamps however did not seem tight the second time around and I swear the thing was hissing some air and water the other day when it go too hot but perhaps I am imagining it. I wish I could mold my own metal part, I have been eyeing weird things lately to see if it would do the job. If it did not have to have the round part to seat near the wand I have seen these things at auto part stores for hoses.
Also, how is your metal cover on the top? From day two the thing started popping up, the damn thing is connected with two-side tape and they wanted the whole thing back via UPSandit could sit there a month so I glued it with this called amazing goop which works great for things BUT when I did it the part I pulled up got bent and it still pops up all the time. Why you would use a faux metal tray glued to plastic beneath heat. The tray is suppose to warm Espresso cups, just so dumb. I wonder if the $1000 machines are really any better, for some reason I feel like it would be the same thing only I would be even more ticked off. For some reason the Sanford and Son theme just popped in my head with visions of these Machines with missing knobs and parts sitting piled alone in a lot.
The same break both times- the nipple part broke off inside the hose. I like the idea of finding a metal version of the grivory part, but I'm not sure that exists. I use my machine (well, not at all right now) about 3-5 days a week, so I guess I was getting a bit more mileage out of it than yours, but not more than what should be expected from a consumer appliance. I bought my machine from WholeLatteLove.com, and ordered the replacement part from Importika. I'll probably end up ordering one more grivory from them in the off-chance that I wasn't gentle enough when I repaired it the first time and perhaps weakened the new part. BTW, I also had to order a new knob for the steam valve 'cause it broke on me too, so watch out for that one!
People just seem to do dumb stuff at zoos and aquariums for the sake of a photo. There have been so many people falling in cages etc. I guess the girl is lucky she is not the one in Gena the crocs belly, now that would really suck.

Well I replaced it and it is working so far. I am still pissed about paying $6.50 for a bad part and $10 dollars for shipping. I don't know who in their right mind would make a product that uses a plastic piece (Union spheral Grivory) to have steaming boiling water running through. I also had contacted parts guru before I finally got ahold of Importika after a month and they sold me a part from a junked machine, yes they had a color on the workbench and I paid $30 bucks for a bunch of little pieces. I would have never done this if I did not feel like I would be stuck with a machine I would have to trash. The whole process made me bitter and their service really sucks. Did the nipple part of it break off inside the hose for you too and if so was it the same break. The Gaggia color seems like it might be leaking a bit I have also had to tighten the metal ring underneath as it was pouring water out of the part that loads the coffee. I feel like this thing is a lemon. I know they know this is an issue but they keep make money off of it. Did you buy it right from them? www.partsguru.com said they get quite a few of these they also will give you a credit for a bad machine they will part out on a credit for a new one. They also have parts blow up on their site and I wonder if any of the machines have metal grivories. I like using the machine but it has been a real kill joy. How much do you use yours? I use mine about once a week so that may be why mine is still in tact. If it is only 6 months you might try a different model check the www.amazon.com reviews to see it got some mixed reviews. I guess I have an extra grivory and figured it was still cheaper than buying another machine, I was in warranty period but I too did want to pay UPS to send it back so i paid for the part. The people at parts guru can tell you if they have a machine that is more realiable as they fix them too.
I had the same EXACT part in my Gaggia Espresso Color break- twice! I have had my machine for no more than 6 months and when it broke the first time, I called Importika, hoping that either they would allow me to ship it to them free of charge to repair it, or at least send me a replacement part. No dice, like you had to pay for the grivory plus shipping myself. The actual repair was pretty simple and straightforward, but I had to use a different type of hose clamp to tighten the connection between hose and grivory "proboscis" because I couldn't get the original clamp tight enough to lock. Once I got the cover back on everything worked fine for about TWO WEEKS, then the new grivory, the part I JUST replaced, broke. So now I am faced with ordering yet another grivory, or seeing if I can convince Importika to take the whole thing back. What is the latest on your repair, venusrising?

That seems to be a common issue with the media today. There is minimal information given at times and or they pander to their large advertisers to paint a vague picture. The difficult issue from a different perspective could be, would a customer be dissatisfied if the coffee was not hot enough?
I suggest you engage in a bit of fact checking about the McDonalds case. The coffee was held next to her skin by her sweatpants, and in any event was hot enough (180 degrees) to casue full thickness third degree burns in two to seven seconds. If you had seen photos of the burns this woman suffered I doubt you would be so quick to dismiss her lawsuit as frivolous.
Furthermore, she initially sought a settlememt of only 20,000 dollars, almost exactly the amount of her medical bills generated by the spill. She proceeded to litigation and a jury trial only after this was denied by McDonalds. This case has been grossly misrepresented by the media (including false claims that the lady was driving and that the vehicle was in motion at the time of the spill, neither is true), but the facts are available if you look.
Even Leno falls to the hoax. Jokes about the Philadelphia texting and walking tickets has spread to late night TV. Even incorrect news spreads like wildfire. Fact-checking is a helpful thing, especially for the media who distributes those supposed facts
We all grieve in our own private way. Who the hell is anyone to say what is right or wrong. I am glad the daughter followed what she knew her dad would really appreciate and enjoy. My hat is off to her.
Netflix seems to have had dedicated employees actively deleting comments throughout the night, especially during the hours (possibly) the company thought no one would notice. But comments were disappearing by the hundreds, regardless of the fact customers kept referencing the deletions, re-posting and talking about deletions that continued to occur and pull numbers lower. It makes a bad situation even worse in what seems a blatant attempt to shut up and shut out customers. Whoever decided on that as a plan of action appears to have made a very bad call.
